AAA Indonesia Team

To end the year, 6 - 7 December 2024 Animal Alliance Asia Indonesia team attended Animal Welfare Conference in Indonesia. We also invited our fellow students and some students from Trilogy University, our university collaborators in the Egg replacer workshop. 

In this yearly event, we are so happy to announce we had a booth and a standee exploring animal messages (hope for animals). A lot of participants visited our booth and wrote messages, had a chat, and gathered thoughts about school outreach, vegan advocacy, animal advocacy and cultural struggles when it comes to animal issues. 

One of the key takeaways that we explored, AAA Indonesia team gave a talk on a panel about community engagement, with the topic "Understanding and Shaping Our Culture in Animal Advocacy”. Our team was happy with the fact that our local community embracing animal justice while being aware of how the implementation might look differently in different culture, but we all have total liberation as the shared goal.

This conference has been a place for meeting other advocates and served as a collaborative space. We met a lot of organizations, such as Dog Meat Free Indonesia, Act for Farmed Animals, Asia for Animals, etc. We were beyond thrilled that many people engaged with us, showed their interest in collaborating or volunteering with us.
